According to official statistics, Quynh Huong recorded 62 points across the tournament, outpacing teammates Bui Thi Anh Thao (57 points) and Le Thuy Linh (53 points).

Her impressive performance earned praise from both experts and fans. Despite being assigned primarily to defense, the 2008-born player stepped up as a key attacker in several matches. Notably, she scored 17 points in Vietnam’s 1-3 loss to Chile U21 and 13 points in the victory over the Dominican Republic U21 team.

Though still very young, Quynh Huong has shown growing maturity on the court. Standing nearly as tall as senior star Tran Thi Thanh Thuy, she is seen as a potential successor. Experts note that if she can improve her physical conditioning and diversify her attacks, the Information Command Club standout could become a formidable threat to any opponent’s block.

Another standout for Vietnam was middle blocker Le Thuy Linh. In the match against powerhouse Serbia U21 (ranked 8th in the world), the 2009-born athlete scored 13 points with an impressive 69% success rate. Her breakdown included 9 attack points, 3 blocks, and 1 ace, just two points shy of Vietnam’s top scorer in that match, Dang Thi Hong.

Vietnam concluded the tournament ranked 19th out of 24 teams, finishing with six wins and two losses (excluding any penalties imposed by the FIVB). Coach Nguyen Trong Linh and his squad are scheduled to return home on July 18.
