A RoK naval ship visits Ho Chi Minh City in December 2014
The ships, ROKS Cheon Ji and ROKS Chungmugong Yi Sunshi, carry 39 officers and 485 crewmembers led by Rear Admiral Lee Sang Hoon.
This is the second time RoK military and mission vessels have visited Vietnam in 2016. Last May, ship BARADO of the country’s coast guard force visited central Da Nang city.
This time’s visit aims to bolster cooperation between the two armies, including navies, thereby helping to enhance the countries’ strategic partnership.
During their stay until December 10, the RoK officers are scheduled to meet with officials of the Khanh Hoa provincial People’s Committee and the High Command of Naval Zone 4. They will also visit the Vietnam Naval Academy based in Khanh Hoa.-VNA
