On July 26, the Russian Navy flotilla, led by Senior Captain Limonov Evgeny Nikolaevich, arrived at Cam Ranh International Port in Khanh Hoa Province with its officers and sailors, beginning a visit to Vietnam that will run from July 26 to 29.

Senior Captain Nguyen Hai Chau, Deputy Chief of Staff of Naval Region 4, presided over the welcoming ceremony. Representatives from several agencies under the Ministry of National Defense, the Vietnam People’s Navy, the Khanh Hoa Provincial Military Command and Army Corps 20 also attended.

The visit is a concrete step toward implementing cooperation agreements between the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense and the Russian Federation.

It also follows up on the outcomes of the official visit to Russia by General Phan Van Giang, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense, in May 2026, contributing to the strengthening of the two countries’ traditional friendship and advancing defense cooperation, particularly between their navies.

During their stay in Vietnam, the Russian naval delegation will pay a courtesy call on the Naval Region 4 Command; lay wreaths at the memorial dedicated to Soviet-Russian and Vietnamese servicemen who sacrificed their lives for peace and stability in the region; take part in exchanges with officers and soldiers of Naval Region 4; and visit several sites in Khanh Hoa Province.
