Trung's dog.
Trung said he bred the dognamed Gau (bear) for six years. It was a pure Vietnamese dog, intelligent and loyal.
Trung blamed himself for the death of his pet. “Two weeks ago I bought another dog as a friend for Gau. I did not think that they would bite each other. Gau was critically injured and he could not survive," Trung said.
Trung loves animals very much, especially dogs. He has bred many dogs; all of them have been caught by dog thieves. Gau lived with him the longest time.
The dog was a member of Trung’s family. "My family held an annual birthday party for Gau. He was born on the 15th day of the 7th lunar month. It died only one week before its birthday this year," Trung said.
Trung said he wanted to keep the dog with him, so he bought a freezer to preserve the dog's body. Trung told his story on Facebook, which attracted the attention of many people.
"I cannot accept the fact that Gau died. When I get home from work, I can see him, though he cannot move anymore."
Trung has received condolences and sympathy from dog breeders on Facebook. Some advised him to incinerate the dog.
Trung said he will incinerate Gau when his sorrow ends.
