Joshua Munzon helps Saigon Heat first win at the ASEAN Basketball League.

Heritage import Joshua Munzon performed masterful shooting displays to score his career-high of 34 points with an efficient 12-of-19 shooting, including 6-of-8 from three-point zone, as the Heat avenged their loss to the Kaohsiung Truth in Taiwan last week.

Munzon also had three rebounds, three assists, and six steals in the breakthrough victory.

Meanwhile, Lenny Daniel provided ample support, finishing with 28 points, four rebounds, and two blocks. David Arnold played his best game of the season, as well, adding 18 points, four boards, and four dimes.

“We know our capabilities,” the Heat’s head coach, Tony Garbelotto, said on the tournament’s website. “They out-competed us last Saturday. Tonight, we out-competed them.”

The Heat will be back on the road on January 20 against defending champions Westports Malaysia Dragons. The Truth will take on the Dragons, as well, on January 25.
