The Saigon Heat will meet the league-leading Hong Kong Eastern Long Lions in the penultimate match of the qualifying round of the ASEAN Basketball League (ABL) tonight.
The match will scheduled to take place at 8pm in the Southorn Stadium in Hong Kong.
With the first seed already locked up, the Long Lions opted to rest world import Josh Boone in their past two games.
As a result, the Long Lions have dropped their previous two games, the latest being an 82-75 finish against Alab Pilipinas.
The Saigon Heat have done the exact opposite, as they’ve racked up wins to vault them into the playoffs.
They took advantage of the Singapore Slingers, who played without Xavier Alexander, to lock up the fourth seed, winning 88-71.
As a result, they eliminated the Kaohsiung Truth and Westports Malaysia Dragons from contention.
Now with two games remaining in their schedule, The Heat have an opportunity to notch a four-game winning streak heading into the playoffs.
It will face Singapore Slingers for the last match of the qualifier at 5pm on March 25 at Hồ Xuân Hương Gymnasium in HCM City.
