SCG Vietnam reported revenue from sales in its ceramics and flexible packaging business in fiscal year 2015 of VND14.1 trillion ($638 million), a 7 per cent increase year-on-year.

Total assets in Vietnam as at the end of 2015 were estimated at VND318.738 trillion ($14.136 billion), while total assets in ASEAN (ex-Thailand) were VND67.614 trillion ($3 billion), representing 21 per cent of total consolidated assets.

According to the fourth quarter report, SCG Vietnam had VND16.625 trillion ($737 million) in total assets, an increase of 17 per cent year-on-year. Revenue from sales in the quarter was VND3.893 trillion ($174 million), a 14 per cent increase year-on-year.

In celebration of 40 years of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and SCG’s home country of Thailand, it held a friendly football match between Becamex Binh Duong and SCG Muangthong United at Thong Nhat Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City on January 23.

SCG is also heavily involved in managing its “Kick and Share by SCG” CSR program, training 170 kids from the local community near SCG’s operations.

In its packaging business, products include “IDEA” brand writing paper and corrugated containers, kraft paper, and flexible packaging.

In the chemicals business it has downstream chemicals products such as PE&PP, XDPE, and PVC resin and compound, among others.

SCG also has a building materials showroom in Hanoi, where customers can experience its products and services.
