Science films, aiming to promote the initiatives of learning and contribute to the cultural development in Vietnam, will be screened at over 40 schools in the two cities.

Each screening will be accompanied by interactive projects, discovery workshops and experiments.

Some of the films that are screened include “The Marble Brothers’ Great Adventure” directed by Masahiko Sato, Masumi Uchino and Masaya Ishikawa, “Nanogirl and the Imaginauts” directed by Luke Nola, and “Silent Blue” directed by Nipan Chawcharernpon.

An Activity Day with fun hands-on science experiments will be held at the Goethe-Institut in Hanoi on November 3 as part of the festival.

This year marks the 250th birthday of German scientist Alexander von Humboldt.

His approach to understand nature as an interconnected web rather than single disciplines revolutionized the conception of nature itself.

The festival will circle around his ideas, explorations and findings, taking in his perspectives of the interconnectedness of nature. SGT
