All the five stadiums in Malaysia selected to host the 29th Southeast Asia Games (SEA Games 29) are ready for the biggest sport festival of the region, which will open on August 19.

The national stadium Bukit Jalil is the biggest of the five and also one of the world’s biggest and most modern ones with 87,411 seats. Inaugurated in 1996, the stadium will be the main venue for outdoor sports, particularly athletics events. It will also host the men’s football final match on August 29 if the Malaysian U-22 team can go through.
In case the Malaysian U-22 team stops mid-way, the men’s football final match will take place at Shah Alam stadium which can accommodate 80,372 spectators. This is also the place where the SEA Games 29 closing ceremony will be held.
Along with Shah Alam, Selayang stadium with 16,000 seats will be the main venue for men’s football events.
Two other venues are the UITM with 6,000 seats and UM Arena with 1,000 seats.
At the 29th SEA Games, scheduled for August 19-31, athletes from 11 Southeast Asian countries will compete in 38 sports.
