LPRP General Secretary and President of Laos Bounnhang Vorachith (R) receives Truong Thi Mai on October 27
The affirmation was made by Truong Thi Mai, Politburo member and head of the CPV Central Committee’s Commission for Mass Mobilisation, during her meeting with LPRP General Secretary and President of Laos Bounnhang Vorachith on October 27.
Mai, who is in Vientiane to attend the fourth theoretical workshop between the parties, congratulated Laos on its enormous achievements over the three decades of reforms and expressed her delight at the two neighbours’ increasingly solidified amity and cooperation.
She once again thanked the country for its support to Vietnam throughout history, repeating that all efforts will be exerted to nurture the special bilateral relations.
She informed her host about the recent situation in Vietnam, adding that the fourth workshop will help clarify theoretical and practical issues relating to international integration of the countries.
Party General Secretary and President Bounnhang Vorachith rejoiced over the growing bilateral ties in all fields, voicing his belief that under the CPV’s leadership, Vietnam will harvest greater attainments and successfully implement the Resolution of the 12 th National Congress of the CPV.
He said the theoretical work is critical to both parties and this time’s theoretical workshop allows them to share experience in international integration. They should continue exchanging information and discussing specialised topics so as to shed light on pressing problems facing their countries.
Also on October 27, the parties convened the fourth theoretical workshop on international integration.
In her introductory speech, Mai said the CPV defines international integration is a major strategic orientation in the national development and protection.
Meanwhile, Kikeo Khaykhamthiphun, head of the LPRP Central Committee’s Commission for Communication and Education, said his party is persistent in enhancing its leadership amidst international integration, adding that Laos will proactively and actively integrate into the world so as to successfully realise the Resolution of the LPRP’s 10 th National Congress.
At the workshop, the two sides shared their parties’ lessons in international integration.
