Many billionaires’ sons became famous several years ago because of their huge financial assets as well as other reasons.

Nguyen Quoc Cuong, called Cuong dollar, is the son of Nguyen Nhu Loan, chair of Quoc Cuong Gia Lai Group, a real estate developer.

Cuong is famous for his collection of luxury cars and Quoc Cuong Gia Lai shares he holds. He is known not only as a businessman, but also as a playboy and friend of many showbiz stars.

Cuong has dated many celebrities such as Tang Thanh Ha and Ho Ngoc Ha and now is with Ha Vi, the actress in Tam Cam, the film that hit the screen some days ago.

Dang Hong Anh, the son of veteran banker Dang Van Thanh, is famous for his business. Starting at a young age, after accumulating experience, Anh set up Sacomreal where he holds the post of chair of board of directors. Sacomreal was once considered one of the biggest players in the real estate market.

Many billionaires’ sons became famous several years ago because of their huge financial assets as well as other reasons.

He was once a member of the board of directors of Sacombank, one of the biggest commercial banks in Vietnam.

Less famous than Cuong dollar and Anh, Do Huu Hau, the son of Do Huu Ha, CEO and president of Hoang Huy Investment & Service JSC, once appeared on the list of the richest stock millionaires in the country.

The young man born in 1984 stirred up the public with dozens of super-luxury cars appearing at his wedding in late 2010.

Tram Trong Ngan and Tram Khai, the two sons of Tram Be, a big banker, also were among the richest stock millionaires. However, the asset value of the businessmen has dropped dramatically because of sharp price falls of shares.

QCG shares of Quoc Cuong Gia Lai Group, for example, have traded below face value for many years.

Cuong is reported as having stock assets worth VND5.4 billion based on face value. However, considering the market price on August 24, he has VND2.4 billion.

Dang Hong Anh, like other family members, has also seen his asset value decrease after sharp decreases in shares he holds in both Sacombank, the holding company, and Sacomreal, the subsidiary.

Instead of trillions of dong, Anh now has VND300 billion worth of stock assets. SCR shares, though having recovered, are still traded at below face value.
