The Endurance-class landing ship docked on the morning of August 1, carrying officers, sailors and naval cadets.

The visiting delegation is led by Colonel Siswi Herlini, Commander of Singapore's Maritime Training and Doctrine Command, while Lieutenant Colonel Hu Junjie Daniel serves as the ship's commanding officer.

Colonel Nguyen Hai Chau, Deputy Chief of Staff of Naval Region 4, presided over the welcoming ceremony.

Representatives from Vietnam's Ministry of National Defence, the Vietnam People's Navy, the Vietnam Coast Guard, the Khanh Hoa Provincial Military Command and Corps 20 also attended the reception.

During the visit, which runs from August 1 to 5, the ship's senior officers will pay courtesy calls on leaders of the Khanh Hoa People's Committee, Naval Region 4 and the Vietnam Naval Academy.

Crew members will also take part in cultural exchange activities and local visits alongside officers and cadets from the Vietnam Naval Academy.

According to organizers, the visit is intended not only to enhance military cooperation but also to deepen friendship, mutual understanding and trust between Vietnam and Singapore in the field of defense.

RSS Persistence is one of four Endurance-class landing ships designed and built in Singapore.

The class also includes RSS Endurance, RSS Resolution, and RSS Endeavour.

The vessel measures 141 meters in length, has a 6-meter draft, and displaces approximately 6,000 tonnes.

It features a flight deck capable of accommodating two medium-sized military helicopters and is equipped with a range of modern naval systems.
