VietNamNet Bridge - FPT Shop, the direct importer of Apple iPhones and iPads in Vietnam, has announced that iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X will be available in Vietnam by the end of October or early November and priced from VND20.99 million.

FPT Shop, as Apple’s authorized reseller, has confirmed that it will be one of the first distributors to provide the new iPhones to Vietnamese users. 

The lowest price, VND20.99 million, is quoted as iPhone 8 (4.7 inch screen) 64 GB, while the 256 GB version would be priced at VND25.79 million.

iPhone 8 Plus (5.5 inch screen) would have the price of VND23.99 million for the 64 GB version and VND28.79 million for the 256 GB version.

iPhone X 64GB and 256GB would have prices of VND29.99 million and VND34.79 million, respectively, expected to be available in December 2017.

FPT Shop begins taking orders from customers for iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X from September 13. Customers will pay VND1 million in advance and receive vouchers worth VND500,000, F-Plus privilege or have opportunities to get a Honda SH or Apple Watch Series 2 through lucky draws.

iPhone 8 and 8 Plus are the upgraded versions of iPhone 7 and 7 Plus which hit the market last year. The duo offers a new design with glass for both front and rear sides, Apple A11 Bionic 6 core chip, new camera and better stereo speakers. The products have 4.7 inch and 5.5 inch screens with the same resolution as the iPhone 7/7 Plus and the features of 3D Touch, Cinema Wide Color Gamut and True Tone.

Observers commented that iPhone 8 and 8 Plus look exactly like their predecessors, except the glass surface and aluminum sides.

However, the highest attention is paid to iPhone X, the product marking the 10th anniversary of the iPhone series.

iPhone X is the first iPhone generation equipped with OLED display, named Super Retina Display, with 5.8-inch with a resolution of 1125 x 2436 pixels, pixel density of 458ppi, with HDR 10 and Dolby Vision.

Those who want to have iPhone 8 sooner than others will have to buy products to be imported through unofficial channels.

Some private shop owners have announced the first iPhone 8s in Vietnam would be sold for VND32-37.5 million. 

iPhone 8 64 GB will be priced at VND32 million, while the 256 GB version VND35 million. The version with the highest memory capacity of 512 GB would be VND37.5 million. These are the prices for products carried from the US and they include a shipping fee.

The price of VND39.5-45.5 million has been predicted for iPhone 8 Plus.
