More than 2,550 young men of districts 1, 2, 4, 6, 7, 8, 10, 11, Phu Nhuan, Binh Thanh, Tan Binh and Nha Be joined the army, to the units of the Defense Ministry, the Military Zone 7 High Command and the HCM City High Command. This is the 2nd army enrolment in HCM City this year.

Of these, 180 young men were enlisted in the Naval Brigade 957. On behalf of the team to speak before enlistment, this rookie promised "to complete the assigned tasks to deserve an Uncle Ho's soldier and to bring into play the heroic tradition of the Vietnamese People's Army."
