People flocked to Sa Pa and Mau Son Mountain in the mountainous provinces of Lao Cai and Lang Son last weekend to enjoy the snow and ice produced by the exceptionally cold weather.
On January 24-26, the tourist town of Sa Pa (Lao Cai province) was completely covered with snow. As the temperatures fall below 0 degrees Celsius, people have to go out with a blanket wrapped around their body.
Frost and snow have appeared across northern mountainous provinces in recent days due to a record cold spell over the last 40 years.
