Specifically, the municipal Departments of Planning-Investment and Information-Communications, along with relevant agencies, will be responsible for the information provision, the local media reported.

The ministry's Investigation Agency is probing Nhat Cuong Mobile, which was found to have participated in smuggling and violating the Accounting Law.

During the investigation, the agency found that Nhat Cuong Mobile and Nhat Cuong Software Co., Ltd had provided some online public service solutions to the city.

The Hanoi chairman must also assign agencies to ensure the stability and security of the city’s online public services.

On July 10, Nhat Cuong Mobile General Director Bui Quang Huy, who had earlier been charged with trading in smuggled mobile phones and electronic devices, was charged with money laundering by Ministry of Public Security investigators.

The fugitive Nhat Cuong chief was using money earned from phone smuggling to finance the running of Nhat Cuong Mobile and Nhat Cuong Software.

Investigators have begun criminal proceedings against ten defendants in the case. SGT
