Since 2019, the price of clean water has been adjusted at the beginning of each year with an increase of VND300-400 per cubic meter/time.

According to the Saigon Water Supply Corporation One Member Limited (Sawaco), from 2022, for households use tap water at the level of 4m3/person/month, the price will be VND6,700/cubic meter instead of VND6,300 at present. For families that use 4-6 m3/person/month, the price will be VND12,900/cubic meter, instead of VND12,100. The price will be higher for those using tap water exceeding this level.

The price will increase from VND12,300 to VND13,000/m3 for administrative and non-business agencies, mass organizations; and from VND11,400 to VND12,100/m3 for production facilities and from VND20,100 to VND21,300 VND/m3 for business and service providing organizations.

The price does not include VAT and only applies to the level of 4m3/person/month.

The total number of deaths from COVID-19 in Vietnam is 27,839, accounting for 2% of the total number of infections globally, ranking 32 out of 234 countries and territories. As for the number of deaths per 1 million people, Vietnam ranks 132 out of 224 countries and territories in the world.

150,000 police officers join fight against Covid-19 pandemic, 17 die

Deputy Minister of Public Security and Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son said that more than 150,000 police officers and soldiers have directly participated in the fight against the pandemic.

In the tough battle with the epidemic, nearly 10,000 police officers and soldiers have been infected and nearly 1,000 people are still under treatment. Seventeen police officers have died and hundreds of officers were injured while performing their duties during the fight against Covid-19.

Construction of VND2,240 billion coastal road begins in Thanh Hoa

Thanh Hoa province on December 12 kicked off the construction of the 24km long coastal road from Nga Son to Hoang Hoa with a total investment of more than VND 2,240 billion, including VND1,100 billion from the central budget and the remaining from the local budget. The project will be carried out in 36 months. The road is expected to open to traffic at the end of 2024.

The project to build a coastal road through Thanh Hoa province more than 96 km long passing through districts Nga Son, Hau Loc, Hoang Hoa, Quang Xuong, Sam Son city and Nghi Son town, was approved by the government in 2010.
