Three people in a family killed overnight

Dao Thi Thu Cuc, her daughter, Tran Thi Quynh Nhi, and granddaughter Nguyen Thi Bao Tran were found dead at around 7.30 am on April 24 at a house in Tan Ba Hamlet, Thoi Hoa Ward, Tan Uyen Town.

Cuc has three children. However, her husband died several years ago and two of her daughters had married. One of Cuc's daughters visited the house in the morning and called for help when she found the bodies.

Witnesses at the scene said the bodies had sustained many injuries and the house looked like it had been ransacked. Some neighbours said they heard some noises in Cuc's house the previous night.

Police in Binh Duong Province suspected that this might be a robbery-murder and are working with the Criminal Police Department and the Institute of Criminal Science and Technology under the Ministry of Public Security to investigate the case.
