The whale found dead on a beach in Khanh Hoa

The fish which is roughly 5 metres long was seen at Tuan Le Beach in Van Tho Commune, Van Ninh District on June 18.

There were some scratches on the whale.

After that, the whale was taken ashore and then buried in line with local customs.

Earlier, some whales were ever detected on the beach in Van Ninh.

Whale worshipping is a common custom among Vietnamese fishermen who believe that the whale's spirits will protect them on the sea.

Local fishermen try to save stranded whales and bury and worship those found dead at whale temples.
