The two teams, consisting of 45 highly skilled officers selected from firefighting and rescue units across Ho Chi Minh City, are recognized for their expertise and distinguished record, having collectively saved hundreds of lives.

At the ceremony, Lieutenant General Le Hong Nam, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Police Department, described the units as a vital combat force for the city’s Firefighting and Rescue Police.

Equipped with advanced, mobile, and high-response capabilities, the teams are prepared to handle fire incidents, explosions, accidents, and other emergencies, particularly those occurring in complex urban environments such as the Thu Thiem Tunnel, underground and elevated metro stations, and other high-risk areas in Ho Chi Minh City.
