Vietnam is deeply concerned about the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK)’s launch of a ballistic missile over Japan’s airspace on September 15, which seriously violated relevant resolutions of the United Nations Security Council and increased tension in the region, Spokeswoman of the Vietnamese Foreign Ministry Le Thi Thu Hang has said.

Vietnam consistently supports all efforts to promote dialogues and maintain peace and stability on the Korean peninsula, Hang said on September 17 in reply to reporters’ queries on the DPRK’s move.
“Vietnam also calls on the parties concerned to strictly comply with related resolutions of the United Nations Security Council and take constructive and practical actions to contribute to maintaining peace, security and stability in the region and the world,” she stressed.
