Cao Duc Phat, the former Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, has been appointed the Standing Deputy Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Economic Affairs.

Speaking at a ceremony Politburo member and standing member of the Secretariat Dinh The Huynh hailed Phat’s capacity, working experience and virtue, saying that the former minister has always fulfilled his assigned tasks and gained the trust of comrades and colleagues.

He expressed belief that in his new post, Phat will promote his capacity and make further contributions to the country’s development, deserving the trust of the Party and people.

For his part, Phat said he was delighted at the appointment to the position, pledging to do his utmost to join efforts of the commission’s management board to fulfill the assigned tasks, deserving the trust that the Politburo and Secretariat have bestowed onto him.
