Update news steel maker
The expansion of the Thai Nguyen steel project has yet to be completed after 14 years. Several former managers of the Thai Nguyen Iron and Steel JSC (Tisco) have been sent to prison for wrongdoings related to the project.
The largest steelmaker in Vietnam is considering a hold on its third blast furnace facility due to concerns with China’s steel presence in the country.
In the second half of this year, increasing competition in product quality, prices and market share are predicted to force steel companies to work harder to maintain their foothold in the market.
