According to the district People’s Committee, the collapse of the electrical poles caused a power outage from Thuong Xuan Town to the Bat Mot border commune.

Power supply was not resumed until Wednesday morning.

The storm also blew roofs off 71 houses and the Thuong Xuan Secondary School. It also damaged nearly 100 ha of crops, uprooted 650 trees in Thuong Xuan District and surrounding communes. Landslides were reported on route from Thuong Xuan Town to Ngoc Phung Commune. — VNS
