During an early June survey of Hung Cave, the Jungle Boss expedition team encountered an unusual creature lying on the surface of rocks and stalactites, approximately 300 meters from the cave entrance. In an area of several dozen square meters, the team observed around 40-50 of these strange entities.

- Main Body: Opaque white with multiple branches extending from the base, reminiscent of a starfish.

- Branches: Extend in various directions, each a few centimeters long.

- Secondary Body: Features many tendrils, about a span high, which are white and stretchable.

Mr. Le Luu Dung, Director of Jungle Boss Company Limited, reported the discovery to the Quang Binh Provincial Forest Protection Department. The department has since forwarded images of the creature to the Institute of Ecology and Biological Resources for expert analysis. Initial predictions suggested the creature might be a type of mushroom, but mushroom specialists have been unable to identify it.

In early May, the Jungle Boss team also discovered a unique "hanging" lake within Thung Cave, temporarily named Lo Lung Lake. This lake, located 15 meters above the underground river system, is surrounded by stalactites, indicating the area's potential for further exploration and discovery.

The continuous discovery of new and unique natural phenomena underscores the many mysteries yet to be uncovered in Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park. These findings highlight the park's uniqueness and its appeal as a major tourist and scientific research destination.
