Flower pots are stolen from Kim Ma Street in Hanoi on March 6

According to the company, when their workers came to collect the flowers on March 6, many people had also decided to steal the flowers.

"The number of people flocking to take the flowers soon increased and they ignored our calls for them to stop," the company said.

Some video clips of the scene also went viral on social websites.

The same problem was also reported on March 6 and 7 at the Dong Dang Train Station where North Korean leader Kim Jong Un's train called at during his official visit to Vietnam and attended the summit with US President Donald Trump.

Hoang Van Phong from Lang Son Provincial Water Drainage Company said that they were tasked with the decoration work for the station and had brought over 2,000 flower pots to the location.
