During the same period on Saturday and from 6:30am to midday on Sunday, Tăng Bạt Hổ, Phạm Đình Hổ, Nguyễn Công Trứ, Yéc-Xanh, Trần Thánh Tông, Nguyễn Huy Tự, Lê Quý Đôn, Nguyễn Cao, Hàn Thuyên and Hàng Chuối will be closed to vehicles.

People who want to attend the ceremony or the memorial service can park vehicles along Trần Hưng Đạo, Lý Thường Kiệt, Hai Bà Trưng, Trần Quang Khải and Trần Khánh Dư streets.

Delegations visiting the National Funeral Home to bid farewell to the late Party General Secretary are requested not to bring wreaths. Black armbands are allowed.

The late leader passed away at 23:12pm on October 1, 2018 of serious illness and old age at Military Central Hospital 108 in Hà Nội. He was 101.

He will be laid in state at the National Funeral Hall. The respect-paying ceremony will start at 7am on Saturday and run until 7:30am on Sunday. The memorial service will follow at 9am. The burial ceremony will take place at 1pm on the same day in his hometown of Đông Mỹ Commune, Thanh Trì District, Hà Nội.
