The northern region is likely to experience a strong cold spell this weekend.

According to the National Centre for Hydro-meteorology Forecasting, on November 12-16, the temperature in the north would increase to 30-32 along with rains.    

However, on November 17-18 the temperature would drop considerably, particularly in some mountainous areas where would see the temperature of below 20 degrees centigrade.

In some days to come, rains have been predicted to happen in the northern central and central region, including Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh and Quang Ngai.

The National Centre for Hydro-meteorology Forecasting added that the southern region would face heavy rains from now to the year end.
