Heavy rain and strong wind appeared in Ha Tinh province in the early afternoon today, September 30. This province has already removed about 22,000 households from the storm-prone areas in the districts of Ky Anh, Thach Ha and Nghi Xuan. Earlier this morning, Mr. Cao Duc Phat - Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development chaired a meeting with officials of Ha Tinh to discuss how to cope with the storm.

In Le Thuy district of Quang Binh province, the area which is forecast to be in the storm eye, wind and rain are very strong now. At least two people were reported injured, including a 15-year-old boy.

In this province, nearly 4,000 boats have anchored in safe places and about 5,000-6,000 households have been evacuated.

In Hue City, many trees had fallen and many houses lost roofs. In Loc Vinh commune in Phu Loc district, over 300m of embankment was eroded. More than 1,000 households were evacuated from the dangerous areas. However, until this afternoon, some people sought to return home despite the warning of danger.

In Nghe An province, by this afternoon, reservoirs in the province were basically full. All vessels have anchored in safe places. At present, nearly 3,900 households need to be evacuated.
