Police detained a man on June 21 who was suspected of throwing explosives into a police station in HCM City.

The man was detained while driving in Ward 1, District 10. Police in HCM City and Tan Binh District are still investigating the case. 

The explosion occurred on June 20 and injured one officer. 

Security cameras around the station showed two masked men riding a motorbike passing the police station in Ward 12. One of them got down and threw something inside before jumping on the motorbike and getting away.

Colonel Nguyen Sy Quang, the spokesman for HCM City Department of Public Security, said they were inspecting the evidence to determine the type of explosive used in the incident.
