Ganh Dau Border Guard Station, under the An Giang provincial Border Guard, reported the discoveries on September 28.

At around 11:30 a.m. on September 27, a patrol found a white sack tightly wrapped in tape and bearing foreign-language lettering on the coast in Residential Group 7, Ganh Dau neighborhood.

Inside were 20 green plastic packets resembling tea packages, each marked with the number 1688. They contained solid white crystals suspected to be drugs, weighing about 20kg in total.

Earlier, at around 8:40 a.m. on September 25, the station received a report of another package washed ashore in the same Residential Group 7 area.

An inspection found 20 packets containing about 20kg of a substance suspected to be drugs.

The two discoveries, made within three days along the Ganh Dau coast, brought the total amount of suspected drugs recovered to approximately 40kg.

Ganh Dau Border Guard Station documented the discoveries, seized the material and handed the case over to An Giang provincial police for further investigation and handling in accordance with regulations.
