As the nation’s largest temple, Tam Chuc pagoda in Ha Nam has seen hordes of people flock to the site during the opening days of the Lunar New Year.
UN Day of Vesak held in the northern province of Ha Nam from May 12-14 set various records recognised by the World Record Association and Viet Nam Record Association.
International delegates, monks and Buddhist followers are together enjoying the festive atmosphere and beautiful landscape of Tam Chuc pagoda, where the celebration of the 16th UN Day of Vesak 2019 is taking place.
Head of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs Vu Chien Thang on May 12 received delegates from China, Laos, Cambodia and Thailand who are in Vietnam to attend the United Nations Day of Vesak 2019.
The 16th United Nations Days of Vesak (UNDV) will be held at the Tam Chuc Buddhism Culture Centre, Kim Bang District, in the northern province of Ha Nam from May 12-14.
About 7,200 members of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and volunteers will be serving the upcoming United Nations Day of Vesak 2019.
