In the peak time around Tet, from January 26 to February 24, the airport will welcome 860-900 flights per day operated by 53 airlines.
Christmas and New Year between December 23 and January 2 would see the airport serve between 680-740 flights or 110,000-120,000 passengers per day.
The on-time flight rate has seen a rise of 20 percent since the adoption of the A-CDM model at Tan Son Nhat International Airport.
The airport will cooperate with taxi firms, contracted vehicles and ride-sharing services to meet the higher demand of passengers during the Tet holiday.
As the approaching major holidays pose increased security risks, including theft, the airport will work with the police to tightly monitor the airport.
