Police are expanding their investigation into the operation of the drug trafficking ring.
According to Colonel Le Hong Vuong, Commander of the provincial Border Guard Command, the drug trafficking situation in the province was becoming more complicated.
Traffickers often gather at a casino in Cambodia’s Bavet City, Svay Rieng province which is opposite Vietnam’s Moc Bai International Border Gate, and transport drugs by motorbike at night from Cambodia to Vietnam. When they are stopped, they often flee to Cambodia.
Tay Ninh’s border guards have busted 22 drug trafficking cases since the beginning of this year, confiscating more than 25kg of methamphetamine and 12,000 pills, and arresting 35 traffickers.-VNA
