As per the Q3 2024 financial reports, Techcombank remains the leader in employee income, with average earnings reaching 48 million VND per month. Other banks like PGBank and KienlongBank reported varying trends, but Techcombank continues to dominate in employee compensation.

Techcombank’s Q3 2024 report revealed that the average income of its employees, including salary, bonuses, and allowances, stood at 48 million VND per month over the first nine months of the year, reflecting a 3 million VND increase compared to the same period last year. Specifically, the average monthly salary for Techcombank employees was 41 million VND, marking a 3 million VND increase from the previous year.

The bank employed 10,762 staff members in the first nine months of 2024, down from 11,242 in the same period last year. During this period, Techcombank allocated over 4.676 trillion VND to salaries and allowances, up from 4.535 trillion VND the previous year.

While not many banks have published their Q3 financial reports, it is expected that Techcombank will maintain its top position in employee income. The bank has held this position since overtaking Vietcombank a few years ago. According to reports from the end of Q2 2024, Techcombank’s employee income remained at the top, averaging 53 million VND per month, an increase of 9 million VND compared to the same period last year.

In comparison, the next three banks—Vietcombank, HDBank, and TPBank—had average employee incomes exceeding 37 million VND per month, indicating a significant gap between Techcombank and its competitors.

PGBank’s Q3 report showed an increase in average income for its employees. During the first nine months of 2024, the average salary was 21 million VND per month, a 3 million VND increase from the same period last year. The total average income reached 24 million VND per month, marking a 2 million VND increase. PGBank currently employs 1,841 staff members, up from 1,723 last year, with a total wage bill of 347 billion VND for the first nine months (compared to 276 billion VND last year).

KienlongBank reported no changes in the average income of its employees, maintaining 20 million VND per month, inclusive of salary and bonuses. However, the average salary decreased by 1 million VND to 17 million VND per month in the first nine months of 2024. KienlongBank employed 3,630 staff members, up from 3,459 last year, with a total expenditure on staff income of 648.318 billion VND, compared to 611 billion VND in the same period last year.

While most banks reported increased spending on employee compensation, LPBank saw a decline compared to last year. The Q3 financial report showed that the average income per employee at LPBank was 22.25 million VND per month for the first nine months of 2024, a reduction of 1.85 million VND from the 2023 average. The average salary also dropped to 19.31 million VND per month, down by 1.51 million VND compared to the previous year.

LPBank employed 11,563 staff members in the first nine months of 2024, up from 11,180 in 2023. The bank spent 2.3 trillion VND on wages and allowances during this period, whereas it had allocated 3.2 trillion VND for the entire year of 2023.
