More than 100 bio-technologies for food processing, medicine production and environmental treatment are on display at the Vietnam Technology and Equipment Market 2017.

The 2-day event draws the participation of 40 research centres, universities and businesses.

Probiotics, fermented garlic technology, coffee-ground cosmetics, and microbial water filtration are among highlights at the fair.

On the occasion, the Centre for Statistics and Science and Technology Information of HCM City (CESTI) signed cooperation pacts with the Can Tho information-technology centre and Soc Trang science and technology application centre.

The pacts aim at boosting innovation and technology transfer, and the organisation of future tech-fairs among sides involved.
