VietNamNet Bridge - More than 50,000 people, most of them from Vietnam, shared a photo from an unknown site in the hope of winning two Mercedes-Benz E Class cars.

According to the Mercedes-Benz 2016 fanpage, they will present two E Class 2016 cars, which are worth VND2-VND2.8 billion ($95,000-$140,000)/car, to two lucky people who click the “Like” button on this page, make comments on the favorite color and share the picture on the wall of their Facebook.

The site announced that it would organize a draw on March 8 to choose the lucky persons. Show price of Mercedes-Benz E Class from 2 to 2.8 billion.

More than 50,000 people liked this fanpage and shared the car photo on their Facebook pages in the hopesof winning a car.

Mercedes-Benz office in Vietnam said they did not organize this program and recommended users to be careful when sharing personal information on online channels.

According to data from Facebook, this fanpage was created on February 28.

According to a social networking expert in HCM City, using trick to get “like” is common on Facebook. Initially, the site owner will publish announcements on granting free gifts for those who “Like” the page. When they get the enough number of “like”, the announcements will be deleted and the page will be used for commercial purposes.

In addition to this phishing page, another fanpage has announced it will give iPhone 6S as free gifts for those who “like” the page, comment on the color of the Iphone and share the photo on their “walls”.

Nearly 30,000 people, mainly from Vietnam, shared this fanpage.
