F&N Dairy Investments PTE Ltd owned by Thai billionaire Charoen Sirivadhanabhakdi has registered to buy more than 14 million additional shares of Vietnam Dairy Products Joint Stock Company (Vinamilk) from May 16 to June 14.

Earlier from April 12 to May 11, it successfully acquired more than 5 million shares of Vinamilk.

If the transaction is successful, F&N Dairy Investments will raise its ownership at Vinamilk from 232.74 million to 247.26 million shares or from 16.04% to 17.04% of Vinamilk shares.

This is the fifth time F&N Dairy Investments have registered to buy Vinamilk shares. With current value,the company will have to spend more than VND2,000 billion fulfilling its target.

Curently, F&N Dairy Investments and F&N Bev Manufacturing, both owned by Fraser & Neave Ltd (F&N) and controlled by Thai billionaire Charoen Sirivadhanabhakdi are holding Vinamilk shares.
