Thai referee Mongkolchai Pechsri will referee the friendly football match between Vietnam and North Korea at Thong Nhat Stadium in HCM City on Thursday, the Vietnam Football Federation has announced.

Pechsri, 35, is a FIFA-level referee. He refereed many matches in the China Super League, the AFF Suzuki Cup 2012 qualifying round and the King’s Cup in Thailand.

The referee officiated at the AFF U19 Football Tournament in 2014 in Vietnam. He also refereed the match between Bình Dương and FLC Thanh Hoa in the 23th round in the 2016 V.League 1 and the match between Long An and Viettel in the V. League 1’s play-off match.

The 22-member North Korea team coached by Jorn Andersen will arrive in HCM City tomorrow.
