For the first nine months of 2017, SCG recorded revenue from sales in Viet Nam stood at VND19.18 trillion ($840 million), according to the company’s unaudited operating results, which were released on Saturday.

On the same day, SCG joined with Hanoi FC to host the “Kick and Share by SCG” event in the capital city, following its first event in Ba Ria- Vung Tau Province in September.

The special football clinic gathered 155 local students from grade four to grade eight in Ung Hoa, Thach That, Dong Anh and other districts in the city, who joined a one-day training by professional coaches from Hanoi FC.

The event was part of SCG’s mission to build the next generation of great footballers for Viet Nam, and encourage the youths to live a healthy lifestyle, the company said in its statement.

Praween Wirotpan, General Director of SCG Vietnam, described the event as a good opportunity for talented youngsters to be trained by professional coaches and national players.

SCG, one of the leading conglomerates in the ASEAN region, is involved in three core businesses -- building materials, chemicals and packaging. In Viet Nam, SCG has 21 companies, driven by approximately 8,300 employees. -VNS
