Miss International 2024 Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy, Miss Vietnam 2022, is a 22-year-old beauty known for her sweet, fresh appearance. She stands 1.76 meters tall and holds impressive measurements of 80-63-94 cm.

Thanh Thuy was crowned Miss International 2024:

Thanh Thuy, originally from Da Nang, is studying at both Da Nang University of Foreign Language Studies and Greenwich Vietnam University, and she is proficient in English and Korean.

During the pageant finale, Thanh Thuy was asked, “What is the most important global development that has impacted the education system of your generation?” She replied, “For me, it’s the emergence of a global education system during the Covid-19 pandemic. Because of Covid-19, we had to stay home and study online, creating opportunities for Edtech (Educational Technology). I hope that students will have more opportunities to explore and learn through Edtech. This aligns with Sustainable Development Goal No. 4 - Quality Education.”

Throughout the Miss International 2024 competition, Thanh Thuy maintained a steady performance, excelling in each round.

In her semi-final interview, Thanh Thuy shared that she is studying English and Korean, with a desire to learn Japanese in the future due to her love for Japanese culture. She expressed her admiration for the Japanese people’s warmth and hospitality, which made her emotional while away from home. She also recalled a touching moment when a friend held up the Vietnamese flag to cheer her on.

The Da Nang native showcased an elegant yet diverse wardrobe throughout the competition, embodying both sophistication and style.

Thanh Thuy’s beauty, balanced physique, and lively, approachable personality further endeared her to fans.

In one memorable activity, Thanh Thuy had the chance to interact with local children, receiving handmade cards and enjoying traditional performances that moved her deeply.

For the national costume segment, Thanh Thuy wore the “Silk Lotus” outfit by designer Bui Cong Thien Bao. The ensemble combined a silk ao dai with a traditional weaving loom motif. The designer lightened the outfit to around 5 kg to allow for easy movement, and Thanh Thuy confidently showcased graceful movements on stage.

Before the finale, Thanh Thuy shared with VietNamNet, “On my journey to Miss International, I overcame my previous insecurities. I’m now more mature, braver, and ready to face challenges to achieve my dreams.”

On October 28, Thanh Thuy departed for Japan to participate in the competition. Accompanied by her family, friends, and notable figures like Phuong Anh, Ngoc Thao, and Que Anh, fans also gathered at the airport to show support.

At the announcement event for Miss International 2024, Thanh Thuy received congratulations and well-wishes from fans both in Vietnam and abroad. As the first Miss Vietnam to compete in Miss International, she carried a spirit of resilience, patriotism, and a desire to represent Vietnamese culture on the global stage.

In December 2022, Thanh Thuy won Miss Vietnam, surpassing 35 contestants with her consistently strong performance, beauty, and academic accomplishments.

However, Thanh Thuy revealed that she had faced criticism and exclusion in her school years for being tall, slender, and dark-skinned, and was even taunted as “empty-headed.” Although this initially made her feel self-conscious, she soon recognized her strengths in her height and facial features. Thanh Thuy chose to focus on personal improvement and took these negative comments as motivation, believing in herself and cultivating a positive mindset.

Thanh Thuy is outgoing and enjoys engaging with diverse cultures. She views language study as an ideal way to develop her career and contribute to the tourism industry in Da Nang.

She previously received a university entrance scholarship, participated in an exchange program at Ubon Ratchathani University in Thailand, and was named the beauty queen of Da Nang University of Foreign Language Studies and the first runner-up in Da Nang’s Talented and Graceful Students pageant.

Since being crowned Miss Vietnam 2022, Thanh Thuy has become a familiar face in fashion shows as a vedette and first face model.

Thanh Thuy openly acknowledged having undergone cosmetic enhancements: “This is my first time confirming it. I thought about whether I should answer, but I realized there’s nothing wrong with being honest about it.”

In her everyday life, Miss International 2024 keeps her makeup minimal, embracing a natural and modest look.
