Wearing the jersey of the International Cycling Union (UCI) and having trained at the UCI’s centre, Thật competed with six other athletes from different countries in the Grand-Prix Crevoisier 2018.

The tournament which debuted in 2007 has been attracting professional riders from Europe. The athletes cycled only one stage, in which the men toured 10 rounds of 15km each, and the women cycled five rounds.

The Vietnamese cyclist brought into play her strength, which is the sprint, to finish first in the women’s class with a timing of 1 hour and 55.35 minutes.

Zanettin Chiara from Italia’s Valcar Pbm was second.

That was among the top two athletes in international tournaments for the second time during her three-month training camp in Switzerland. Two weeks ago, the Southeast Asian Games winner finished second in the 16th Grand Prix of Chambéry in France.

Her UCI coach Alejandro Gonzalez Tablas was pleased with her result, saying that it was a long time since he could guide such a talented athlete. That is his golden girl, he said.
