Vu Nguyen Thuy Van

Adayroi.com’s CEO Le Hoang Uyen Vy, KiotViet’s Marketing Director Vu Nguyen Thuy Van, Misfit Wearables’ Strategy Director Le Diep Kieu Trang and Rudicaf’s CEO Vu Nguyet Anh are managing large firms with capital of tens and hundreds of billions of dong.

At Startup Festival 2016, KiotViet’s Marketing Director Vu Nguyen Thuy Van, born in 1985, was one of five nominated for the Women’s Startup category. The other four are also well known names – Hoang Minh Nhat (who won first prize at Masterchef TV show and the owner of Minh Nhat traditional banh my sandwich chain, Nguyen Thi Mai Huong, the owner of Color Pencils, Le Hoang Uyen Vy, CEO of Adayroi and Vu Nguyet Anh, CEO of Rudicaf.

While most other technology firms target the marketing of sales management software products for large shop chains and supermarkets, KiotViet aims for small shops and sets very reasonable service fees which are just enough to buy one cup of ice tea – VND3,000 a day.

By the end of 2016, KiotViet, with 400 workers nationwide, had 20,000 customers, which means a 300 percent growth rate. The firm plans s 200 percent growth rate for 2017 at minimum, while the number of workers would increase to 500.

Van said she and her co-workers are working hard to prepare technological infrastructure and workforce to implement the business plans, marching towards the ambitious goal of approaching 1.4 million shop owners nationwide.

Le Hoang Uyen Vy, 1987, is known as the founder of Aiya! The gioi an vat (noshers’ world) chain in 2009, the founder of Chon Trading (www.chon.vn) – an e-commerce project specializing in distributing fashion products in 2011. In 2014, Chon.vn received investment from Vingroup.

Now Vy works as the CEO of Adayroi.com, an e-commerce website belonging to Vingroup.

Vy also devotes herself to community activities. She is the founder of Tmspeed Network and Vttragey.com. In 2014, she was the chair of UNICEF Next Generation with the activities to support children.

In 2015 and 2016, the businesswoman was listed among Forbes Vietnam’s and Forbes Asia’s 30 most outstanding faces.

Le Diep Kieu Trang, 1980, is the strategy director of Misfit Wearables, specializing in software and wearable health monitoring devices founded by Sonny Vu, a Viet Kieu (overseas Vietnamese).

Before taking the office as Misfit, Trang worked for HSBC and McKinsey. She can speak Chinese and English fluently.

Vu Nguyen Anh is CEO and founder of Rudicaf which provides dating services and helps connect people.

Rudicaf also develops online apps which check clients’ information and book dating schedules.
