VietNamNet Bridge - The Banker on April 8 announced the ASEAN Top 100 Banks in 2016. Of the 19 Vietnamese banks on the list, VietinBank ranked first.

According to this list, VietinBank ranked 25th, the highest among Vietnamese banks in the rankings.

VietinBank also took the lead among Vietnamese banks for the first-grade capital scale with more than $2,329 billion and before tax profit of $343 million.

This ranking demonstrates the strength of financial resources, as well as the stable growth, sustainability and effectiveness of VietinBank.

According to The Banker, in 2015 Vietnam accelerated rapidly to become the country with the second highest growth rate of the banking sector in the "Top 100 Banks ASEAN 2016".

Vietnam has 19 banks in the list this year. Vietnamese banks have impressed others with the growth rate of total assets of 15.66% in a year, and before tax profit up by 6%, stronger than most other countries, except for Singapore with 10% and 91%, respectively.

VietinBank has recently entered various prestigious rankings in the world. Besides the Top 100 Largest Banks in ASEAN, VietinBank is also the only bank Vietnam made the top 400 most  valuable banking brands in the world, up 58 spots in one year, with the brand value of $249 million, rated A + (as announced by the Brand Finance).

 VietinBank is the only bank in Vietnam ranked by Forbes among the world's 2,000 largest enterprises for four consecutive years (2012-2015).
