 The convoy of French President Francois Hollande entered the Presidential Palace. Hanoi children waved flags to welcome Mr. Hollande.  President Tran Dai Quang chaired the welcome ceremony.  President Tran Dai Quang and President Hollande reviewed the guard of honor.  Hollande is the third French president to visit Vietnam since the two countries established formal diplomatic relations in 1973.  President Hollande said hello to Vietnamese officials.  President Tran Dai Quang on behalf of the Party and State of Vietnam welcomed President Francois Hollande.  The talks between the two Presidents.  Hollande was accompanied by Minister of State for Development & Francophonie André Vallini (to the right of Hollande) and Minister of State for Commerce Martine Pinville (left).  President Tran Dai Quang and President Hollande chaired a joint press conference.  President Francois Hollande met with Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc.  President Hollande spoke during talks with Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc.  President Hollande visited the old quarter of Hanoi in the afternoon.  He then met with Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong at the Party Central Office.  He also met with the National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan. Mr. Hollande then left Hanoi to go to HCM City. |
