After three acclaimed annual open exhibitions from 2013 to 2015, the Fourth Hanoi Open Exhibition exhibiting works from both professional and amateur Vietnamese and international artists, is unrivaled for diversity of artwork.
Over the past two decades there has been phenomenal and unprecedented artistic, commercial and social development in Vietnam.
Hanoi remains central to the country’s creative community. Contemporary Vietnamese artists have become respected around the world for their resourceful approach, cultural and social dialogue and creative sensitivity.
Likewise, foreign artists are increasingly finding Hanoi and Vietnam an invaluable source of inspiration for their own work.
There is no central theme to the Open Exhibition but previous shows have been heralded as being vibrant, energised and stimulating.
Artists are invited to submit a maximum of two pieces, which are then considered by a panel of both local and international art experts before being curated for display.
The exhibition is a unique showcase for art in a variety of mediums; painting, sculpture, photography and print, and is as much an opportunity for art enthusiasts as it is for the artists themselves.
Collectively the first three Open Exhibition’s had exhibited over 350 works by over 200 artists.
Over 2000 visitors have enjoyed the exhibitions and tours and school trips are also offered to further engage the Hanoi community.
It is expected that this year’s show will exceed the figures of previous years.
