VietNamNet Bridge - With an area of almost 200 hectares, the Vietnam Academy of Agriculture is Vietnam's largest school, with many faculties such as Livestock, Biotechnology, Agronomy, Soil Management, Veterinary, and Fisheries. 




The Vietnam Academy of Agriculture is located in the town of Trau Quy in Gia Lam District, Hanoi suburbs. It was established in 1956 under the name of University of Agriculture and Forestry. 

 









As the national key university, the Academy of Agriculture is responsible for human resource training at university and post-university degrees. 









The universities initially had only three faculties but now has 15 faculties providing intensive training courses on key industries, such as Livestock, Biotechnology, Agronomy, Soil Management, Veterinary, Fisheries. .. and nearly 20 research centers and institutes. The Agronomy Faculty is the oldest (founded in 1956).








This faculty has 40 offices, a 3 hectare botanical garden, a specimen garden of 1.1 hectares, a field of 4.3 hectares, and 11 net houses totaling 2,000 m2. 








The Faculty of Fisheries has successfully researched and put into use artificial reproductive techniques on river loach and frogs, and diagnostic and treatment techniques for some fish species.
