The Vietnam Academy of Agriculture is located in the town of Trau Quy in Gia Lam District, Hanoi suburbs. It was established in 1956 under the name of University of Agriculture and Forestry. 

As the national key university, the Academy of Agriculture is responsible for human resource training at university and post-university degrees. 

The universities initially had only three faculties but now has 15 faculties providing intensive training courses on key industries, such as Livestock, Biotechnology, Agronomy, Soil Management, Veterinary, Fisheries. .. and nearly 20 research centers and institutes. The central campus is surrounded by four wide lotus ponds. 

The Faculty of Land Management is surrounded by trees and concrete paths. The campus is large enough for students to practice on site.

This faculty has 40 offices, a 3 hectare botanical garden, a specimen garden of 1.1 hectares, a field of 4.3 hectares, and 11 net houses totaling 2,000 m2.
