Market surveillance officials in Khanh Hoa province have confiscated nearly 3,000 pairs of counterfeit Crocs sandals and other suspected fake luxury items from shops in central Nha Trang. The products have been sent for brand authentication.

Speaking to VietNamNet, Mai Hung Vi, Deputy Head of the Khanh Hoa Market Surveillance Department, confirmed that on August 25, Team No. 8 conducted an inspection of a footwear store located on Dong Da - To Hien Thanh Street in Nha Trang. This area is a popular shopping and dining destination for Korean tourists.

During the inspection, authorities discovered that the store was selling Crocs-branded sandals at prices significantly lower than those of genuine products on the market. Each pair was priced between VND 50,000 and 70,000 (about USD 2 to 3).

After inventorying, the team found nearly 3,000 pairs of Crocs sandals suspected to be counterfeit. The shop owner failed to present invoices or documents proving the origin of the goods. Market surveillance officers documented the violations, confiscated the items, and sent samples to trademark protection agencies for assessment.

On August 24, the same team had inspected another store on Nguyen Thien Thuat Street, where they found 19 clutch bags, 14 t-shirts, and 33 scarves, all bearing the Chanel brand name and suspected to be fakes.

Authorities have confiscated all goods involved in both raids and are continuing legal procedures in accordance with Vietnamese law.
