The principal of Tan Tuc High School in Binh Chanh, Ho Chi Minh City, has confirmed that local police are investigating allegations of hidden cameras placed in the school's girls' restroom.

On the evening of October 25, Nguyen Thanh Tong, the principal of Tan Tuc High School, informed VietNamNet that the school had reported suspicions of hidden cameras in the girls' restroom to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training.

He added that law enforcement had been brought in to investigate the matter, and once the investigation is complete, the school will provide accurate information regarding the issue.

The case came to light after several students at Tan Tuc High School reported that thousands of clips and images, allegedly recorded in the girls' restroom, were being sold and distributed on social media.

A student at the school shared with the media that about three days ago, a group of students discovered a social media account named H, believed to belong to a fellow student, offering thousands of sensitive clips and images for sale. The footage was allegedly captured using hidden cameras in the girls' restroom, showing clear visuals of female students in uniform with name tags.

Upon discovering the situation, the group of students immediately reported it to the school's administration.

According to the students, around 13,000 videos and 15,000 images were reportedly sold and distributed on dark web platforms. They claimed that cameras had been discreetly placed near the water spray nozzles throughout the restroom facilities. Many students have said they have evidence pointing to the individual responsible, but when questioned, the alleged perpetrator denied any wrongdoing.

One student expressed their distress over the situation: "I truly feel this is unfair because most of the female students at our school have been affected by this. Among the victims are my friends, who are still at a young, vulnerable age. Being secretly recorded like this is a huge shock. We hope the authorities can help us achieve justice," the student said, urging officials to find the truth swiftly.
