Three hundred- old “thi” (known as diospyros decandra) trees which are located at Tien Chau village, Thang Binh district, Quang Nam province, were recognized as Vietnam heritage tree, yesterday.
The first tree is 243 years old with circumference of 3.73 meters, a diameter of 0.81 meters and a breast height of 1.80 meters.
The second tree is 173 years old with circumference of 2.64 meters, a diameter of 0.84 meters and 1.80 meters high.
The third tree is 218 years old with circumference of 2.75 meters, a diameter of 1.05 meters and height of 2 meters.
Three ancient "thi" trees located inside the temple dedicated to Tien Hien, the founder of Tien Chau village.
Deputy Chairman of the People’s Committee of Binh Sa commune Nguyen Van Long said that these are the hundred- old ancient trees in the area.
